I outline many ways of bypassing blocked pages including tunneling, using websites to reroute your traffic and knoppix
The Conventional Way
There are a few websites that can act as a proxy. You can type the web address in a textbox like you would on google, press enter and surf under that site. However the proxy site itself cannot be blocked if it is it obviously won’t work. If that is the case use some of the other methods I mention.

Using a tunnel
You can try using a tunneling software to “tunnel” your web traffic to a computer that is not effected by the proxy, allowing you to access whatever you want. The most popular way to go about this is to use Tor, which encrypts all of your traffic. The proxy won’t even be able to tell that the connection from your computer is for a web page, and won’t be able to filter it.
You can get Tor for Windows here, along with setup instructions here. You could set up Tor either on the computer you actually use at school, or on your home computer and set the school computer to use your home computer as a proxy.
You could also try setting up a VPN on your home network and connecting to that for your internet connection. A pretty straightforward way to do that is to set up a border router/firewall at home using software like m0n0wall, which is designed for doing this sort of thing. All it takes is a spare computer, and following the directions on the website.
Breaking into the firewall
You could always try breaking into the firewall to see if you can change it’s settings so it doesn’t make you use the proxy. Chances are the proxy server itself is probably locked down pretty tight and monitored, but the firewall probably isn’t. That’s how school networks tend to be. Also, being a school network, it’s probably a Cisco firewall. The simplest way to go about this is to sniff traffic to the firewall and wait for one of the admins to log into it, or for it to download a new config from a tftp server. You can use ettercap for this as well.
To do it you open ettercap and start sniffing, and do a Host Scan as described above. Next, go to the Targets tab at the top and click on Current Targets. Click the add button and add the IP of the gateway/firewall. Next, go to MITM at the top and click on ARP Poisoning. Check the box to sniff remote connections, and click OK. Then go over to View at the top and click Connections. You’ll now be able to see all of the traffic actually destined for the firewall. If you’re patient you will eventually see the login needed for the firewall itself or maybe even the password for the proxy.
As far as actually using such a password, that’s up to you. Keep in mind it is illegal to do this, you shouldn’t do it, and that a lot of stuff like that is set up so when someone logs into it the admin is notifed by email or maybe even pager right away. Also, once you’re done sniffing make sure you go into MITM again and click Stop MITM attacks, otherwise you’ll end up DOSing (Denial-of-service) the school LAN.
Dealing with software on the computer
Really, if the proxy software is on the computer you’re using, uninstalling it or turning it off is probably not a good idea, since you are probably being monitored by it. The easiest way to deal with this is to use a bootable LiveCD like Knoppix (I recommend Knoppix Security Tools Distribution )
Ettercap comes with some versions of Knoppix, so you won’t have to install it (comes with Knoppix STD that I mentioned above).
Ultrasurf
If you have a jumpdrive you can install a program called ultrasurf on to it.
UltraSurf is the flagship software product from UltraReach Internet Corp. for Internet anti-censorship. It enables users inside countries with heavy Internet censorship to visit any public web sites in the world safely and freely.
UltraSurf 8 is a green software, which means no installation process is needed nor system setting is required to change when using the software. It is simply an executable on Windows platform.
NOTE: there are versions (most likely older versions, so keep up to date) that will not work

It also may be that this site has been indexed by your school’s filters. Thus anything I put up will be blocked,so you may have to try other methods. However I will put up a few more proxies in the coming days since the ones on there do not work for you.

Try getting firefox on a usb stick. Google “portable firefox”, this is because the ActiveX controls are most likely disabled by the computer itself and not a filter. If firefox doesn’t work then there is not much you can do unless you begin disabling programs (your actions would probably be recorded).

i appreciate what your doing here yet nothing works for me
nevertheless im going to help you cause by telling you about the program freegate
freegate is similar to ultrasurf, except that its parent corporation is dynaweb not ultrareach. it works wonders!
also, dynaweb have many proxies available stemming from http://dongtaiwang.com – on this site there should be 3 websties and 3 ip adresses on the right hand side; these are the proxies to use not the main site (it simply wont work). these change from day to day and hence there is a great turnover of proxies ensuring near continual access
also, some filtering systems dont block ip adresses, so simply goto run, ping the site you want to access (e.g. ping teamliquid.net) and use that ip adress in your browser, and if your school has a weak system this could work lol
anyway, keep up the fight!

search google for ultrasurf, its the best proxy ever it was made by chinese emmigrants to block the chinese gov’ts firewall. Just get a $5 flashdrive from wallmart and go to school
I think its URL is ultrasurf.com or ultrareach.com were you can download it at home and use it at school (given you have a CD or flashdrive to put it on) I advise not to use your email becuase there have been cases were people who use this proxy have ’switches’ with other peoples email.
