I can’t begin to tell you the amount of people who complain about how long the wait time is to download again from Megaupload. If they bothered to do a little investigating they would discover the features of Megaupload’s toolbar. Be aware that this does not work in all countries, you will have to see if it is available to you.
To download and use it you first need sign up as a free member.
Click on the images to see them in full resolution. Sorry about them being cut off there is nothing I can do about that.
You can have FREE Premium access from 9PM to 3AM EST. To activate your premium status click on the M logo to go to megaupload.com and click on the Happy Hour Button. You will then see the screen below.
That means your account has the privileges of a premium member. It’s more then enough time to download loads of files all in one go.
You will notice that your status changed from (member) to (premium). Extend also works in a similar but more limited fashion.
Also in the EULA of the megaupload toolbar you should note…
The statistics information collected by the Megaupload Toolbar is strictly anonymous and is respecting your privacy.
Even if you don’t trust this you can disable the toolbar by renaming the folder it created in C:\Program Files when you are not using it.
On firefox you can also go to Tools>Addons.. and temporarily disable it

Cool! I put the bar in IE and uninstalled it from firefox. I don’t think the bar can do anything while IE isn’t in use (and I don’t use IE for anything else…). Thanks for the tutorial, especially because it wasn’t clear on the Megaupload site that you needed to register as a free member first.

It is not supported in all countries but I have no idea which ones I don’t think they list it anywhere
The toolbar works in both IE and firefox (I have tested this myself)

The feature is still up and running, in US at least. Before the “happy hour premium” button comes in toolbar, you have to click one of the buttons on toolbar and the “happy hour premium” button will immediately come up, then you click on that button. If all goes well, you will get message saying “your premium is activated for ____ minutes”. Enjoy! =P
*Make sure you are logged in before clicking the button.

Megaupload change the time to activate happy hour it is how 9-11am (UTC)… its 4:00am EST lol who would wake up at 4am to start download… I was happy at 9pm EST and you need to use the manager since I bet no one uses it so they’re forcing you to download it haha!
