Poll: Would you use a forum if I added it to my site?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

If I put up a forum to help people with any technical questions they may have and various other things (open to any suggestions) would you use it?

So basically comment with either a simple yes or no if I get enough answers I’ll have it up in a few days.

The forum would be free (obviously) I just want to know if people would actually make use of it…so before I waste my time doing this I want to know if it is worth it. I already get a few people asking me questions via the contact form and I think using a forum would be better.

if I get about 10 or 20 people who are all for it I may also include one of those forum RPGs and store to use your points to do things like make your name glow etc.

Also if this flies I may build a whole site off a free host with proper pages for tutorials and everything where I would allow you to submit your own tutorials etc.

I would use it. Your info is helpful.

Right now, I’m having trouble disabling my LAN2 connection when I’m offline. I use it hardwired, not wireless and that won’t change. When I go offline, I turn off the router and then click the LAN2 in the system tray. When the popup opens, I click disable and half the time it disables. Half the time it won’t. If it doesn’t disable, nothing I do can get it to disable. If it doesn’t disable, Windows won’t shut down.

I disable it because I don’t want my PC connected when family members turn on the router and go online from another PC while I’m using my PC.

Seeing as how you cannot even use the spell check function, and/or do not pay enough attention to detail to edit this site yourself, I don’t feel comfortable placing any faith in any of your “expertise”. Your tweak guides seem to be cliff notes of actual step by step tweak guides.

Hi, are you still thinking about this question? I really like your blog but I wouldn’t want to see a forum.. because then, people will ask the same questions over and over again. The topics will repeat. Eventually, users just post new questions instead of reading your tutorials :o Of course, if you’re a strict admin (who has lots of time) it’ll probably be fine :)

If you do, you should use MyBB [www.mybboard.net] or bbPress [www.bbpress.org] instead of phpBB, because, in my opinion, those are much better than phpBB.

Also, you can’t host forums on a wordpress.com blog, only wordpress.org
